Dr. Shantay N. Bolton is currently serving as the Vice President of Human Resources at Tulane University, responsible for creating an executable HR strategy that motivates teams individually and collectively to exceed University objectives through innovative and forward-thinking solutions and to lead and manage the organization in the design, development, implementation, and execution of all Human Resources programs and services. Shantay has more than 15 years’ experience in human resources, implementing leadership development programs, employee engagement, talent management and strategic training projects through organizational development initiatives. She also provides thought leadership on generational differences in the workplace and coaching of multigenerational project leaders.
In addition, she is the Founder/Principal Consultant of TMR Consultants, LLC based in Huntsville, Alabama with offices in South Florida and Virginia. TMR is an international business resource management consultancy that offers services in four core areas: Personnel Management, Training & Development, Project Management, and Technology Implementation. She specializes in human resource management, employee relations, change management, leadership development and executive coaching of multigenerational leaders. Dr. Bolton is committed to engaging, educating and empowering business leaders and educators to improve organizational outcomes for clients and students across generations.
Dr. Bolton is a proud 2011 graduate of AABHE Leadership and Mentoring Institute administrative track and previously served as an inaugural co-chair for the LMI Fundraising Committee. She is currently a member of the AABHE 2018 Conference Planning Committee. She is a Lifetime Member of the National Association of African-Americans in Human Resources (NAAAHR). Additional memberships include the American Association of Blacks in Higher Education (AABHE), Society for Industrial Psychologists (SIOP), Professional & Organizational Network in Higher Education (POD), College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR), and Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). She is a certified MBTI Practitioner, Certified Executive Coach (ICF-ACTP), Organizational Development Certified Professional, Lean Six Sigma Yellowbelt and 6-Thinking Hats/Parallel Thinking Trainer. She travels to Port-Au-Prince, Titanyen and Cite Soleil, Haiti annually to support international secondary education efforts and promote global scholarship. Dr. Bolton has taught courses in cultural diversity, workplace communication, and psychology/human behavior as a Visiting Professor at DeVry University and adjunct faculty member at Palm Beach State College.
Dr. Bolton earned her B.A. in Psychology and M.S. in Counseling Psychology from Alabama A&M University, a Ph.D. from Walden University in Organizational Psychology, and her MBA in Corporate Business from Florida International University.
